TalkTalk announces FREE Dancing on Ice votes for whole of the UK

This weekend, TalkTalk – the brighter phone and broadband company – is making the extraordinary move of offering UK households five free votes for ITV1’s hit show Dancing on Ice. Every home in the UK will be able to benefit from the initiative which will allow the 11 million viewers to cast their vote for free. Viewers have the chance to turn the leader board upside down, as has already happened this series.

Viewers can take advantage of TalkTalk’s five free votes simply by visiting www.talktalk.co.uk/freevotes. With a free TalkTalk vote for each of the family*, viewers will be empowered to take on the judges and get involved in this year’s show whilst saving almost £2**.

Mark Schmid, Communications Director for TalkTalk said: “We are thrilled to have teamed up with ITV to be able to offer free votes not just to TalkTalk customers but everyone across the UK. It’s such a popular show and over 25million households will be able to take part in the voting this weekend. Now there’s no reason to hold back and the whole family can show their support for their favourite performance by voting.”

Chris Fountain, who came second in 2008’s Dancing on Ice is backing the new scheme. He said: “Offering five free votes to viewers is a great way to get the whole family involved and really encourage the public to get voting. People can’t always afford to pick up the phone and vote more than once so to have five votes for free should make a huge difference for all the contestants. There are some great characters this year so I’m encouraging viewers to get online for their free votes on the TalkTalk website.”

The show airs on ITV1, every Friday and Sunday evening until 28 March 2010.
